Wedding Rings Repair
Kay Jewelers is a popular place for couples to buy wedding rings, and the company offers an extended warranty that can be purchased on these rings as well. This is a great idea, in theory, as it will cover the cost of any future modifications or repairs that may be needed.
However, in a few cases this has created more problems for ring owners. The warranty requires that owners bring the rings into the store every six months for routine inspections. Without a record of these inspections, the company will refuse to foot the bill for any repairs. For certain types of work, the company will ship the rings to the vendor in China, and there has been at least one case where the return of the rings took months due to customs delays.
